BEEF STEW (gulasch)

Ingredients:
- 1kg chopped beef
- a big onion
- paprika
- nutmeg
- pepper
- salt
- marjoram
- cumin
- 3 dl red wine
- tomato pureé
Caramelize the onion on the olive oil. Add all herbs and cook it for a 3-4 minutes.
Add the chopped beef and add a 1 cup of water, cover it and cook it for 2-3 hours. Stir in every half hour.
When the meat is friable and ready, add the wine and the tomato purée and cook it for a 30 minutes more.
Side dish could be bread (!!!!), pasta or cooked potato.
