easy CROQUE MONSIEUR

Ingredients:

- ham

- sliced and grated cheese

- sliced bread

- mustard

- bechamel sauce


Bechamel sauce:

- 30g butter

- 30g plain flour

- 300ml hot milk

- salt and pepper

- nutmeg and thyme (optional)


Bechamel sauce:

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.Stir in the flour. Whisk in a little of the milk at a time, stirring continuously until you have a smooth, slightly thick sauce.Remove from the heat; season with salt and pepper. Add nutmeg and thyme for additional flavour.


Put the in the 180 degree oven and bake for 90 minutes.d bechamel sauce the bottom slice. Add a slice cheese and 2-3 slice ham and 1 cheese again. Put a slice on the top. Lubricate with bechamel sauce the top slice of bread and squeeze with grated cheese.


Put the breads in the 180 degree oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
