STEAK BITES with potatoes in bechamel

Ingredients:

MEAT:

- 60-70dkg steak meat

- 3 garlic cloves

- 1 tsp oregano

- 1 tsp rosemary

- 1 tsp thyme

- 3-4 Tbsp olive oil


SIDE DISH:

- 4-5 bigger potatoes

- grated parmesan

- Bechamel sauce:

- 60g butter

- 60g plain flour

- 600ml hot milk

- salt and pepper

- nutmeg and thyme (optional)


STEAK BITES:

Chop the meat and add in a bowl. Add all herbs and 3-4 Tbsp olive oils and mix it. Put it in the fridge rest for a day or overnight.


Heat a large wok pan and put the meat in it. Cover it and cook it around 1 hour on middle heat.


SIDE DISH:

Bechamel sauce:

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.Stir in the flour. Whisk in a little of the milk at a time, stirring continuously until you have a smooth, slightly thick sauce.Remove from the heat; season with salt and pepper. Add nutmeg and thyme for additional flavour.


Slice the potatoes put the slices in a pan, pour on the bechamel sauce and and squeeze with grated parmesan.


Put the covered pan in the 180 degree oven and bake for 90 minutes.
